Flat Bumfortables -

For kayaks with a flat hull section where you sit. Generally touring kayaks, sea kayaks, and most kayaks with a beam over 15", 90% of people use this seat.

Round Bumfortables - 

For kayaks with a rounded hull section where you sit. Fast racing kayaks typically. 

Backstrap - 

Adds support to the seat and helps stop the seat moving backwards if loosely fixed and not glued or velcro fixed. Fits into a molded channel in the back of the Bumfortables and bolts to the side of the cowling.
